Can someone elaborate on how to run Aloha BOH on another computer without the HASP for the purpose of re-doing a menu. I seem to remember using the /remote switch but I only have a vague rememerance of how to do this.

Properties for the shortcut of Aloha Manager (AlohaMgr.Exe)
It would look like this -
Example C:\Alohats\BIN\AlohaMgr.exe /remote

Are you just redoing the menus, or, are you redoing item maintenance also. If all you are doing is the menus, create new menus lay them out how you want them, then go to your events and switch out the ones in there that are scheduled to run with the new ones when you are ready.

all new items...everything from scratch

Do you have a software disk? You will need it. You will need to install Aloha and check the demo radio box. Remote manager just lets you access the current database from another computer. When you get it setup and going, when you are finished all you have to do is copy the newdata and data folders. It may be worth a 100 dollars to take it to the dealer and have them get it going on a laptop for you because getting front of house going can be tricky and other things may pop up like having the lana number reset on the laptop etc.
