I AM LOST, YET THIS IS SO BASIC I'M SURE. I HAVE SBC-DSL AND I AM TRYING TO WRITE E-MAIL AND I'D LIKE TO INCLUDE IMAGES, GIFS, PICS WITHIN MY E-MAIL, NOT SIMPLY AS AN 'ATTACHMENT' HOW CAN I DO THIS, AND/OR WHERE CAN I GET SOME INFO ON THIS. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY MANUALS OR 'HOW TO'S' FROM WITHER HP, MICROSOFT OR SBC, YIKES, SOS. ANY INFO GREATLY APPRECIATED.DD4.

You set your email in HTML format, or RTF, and you can create almost anything you want.
PS: there reason why you don't receive anything is.. because most of it is in the Help files.
PPS: please do NOT write in CAPITAL letters in these forums. It is hard to read and considered shouting by 'netiquette'.

in response to marcs'reply. i thank you, how do i check this to html, i set it up, but do not remember how. also, i deeply apoligize about the caps. i wasn't yelling, i am visually impaired and i usually use caps so i can read what i write. but, i have learned a valuable lesson. thank you. i know hwat you're talking about, but is it in control panel??

The HTML setting is in you mailclient (which you did not mention).
In Outlook, open a new message and click Format - HTML.
In Outlook Express , open a new message and click Format - Rich Text (HTML).

this is to thank marc again. i did get it right with html and i can do exactly what i have wanted to do for months now. (by the way, i am not instructor, choose poorly, i am pc novice, user i guess is all) now, if i could get my sbc mail to do the same, oh what a wish. a total of 5 hours on the phone and their walkthroughs were wasted and not to mention my frustration. i owe you huge thanks at least.

this is for marcs41, or anyone checking in...i tried what he recommended and it worked. yet, all day today it has not worked, when i go to 'insert' it only allows me to select'file attachment' i double checked all settings, html/rich text, and with mail client, all is ok and i even restarted my pc, but no avail. why did it quit? and outllok express is the only one who'll let me do it, bu tno more. also, does it need to be on western iso? or just western? grrr. thanks for any help.
What other mailclient are you talking about?
