Last year I went from Microsoft Access to SQL Server 2005. It was a big change - and I purchased three books that I continually pickup and reference:

1) Sams Teach Yourself Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL in 10 Minutes. ISBN-13: 978-0-672-32867-1

2) Microsoft SQL Server 2005 for Dummies ISBN: 0-7645-7755-7

3) Mastering Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (Sybex) ISBN: 0-7821-4380-6

I use the online books quite often also. I haven't found a single answer solution - all three books were purchased for about $100.

Reading the tek-tips is a big help also - you can get quite a bit of advise here.
