if the email does not exist then it will 'bounce' back to the server and coldfusion will make a note of the email address and the error that occured in the CFUSION\MAIL\LOG\errors.log file.
I am working on something to read this file and remove the 'bouncing' emails from the list of emails to send you, but not having a great deal of time or luck at the moment to get it perfected.
