Well my crystal ball is a bit cloudy maybe you could be more specific.

Is this an ODBC attached table? If so, I've seen this happen when an ODBC driver translates data in a non-perfect way, ie, when you change field A, and go to save it, your changes are compared to your original record, and Field B, say, a Double, is compared to what the ODBC driver had as original, and thinks it's different than what it currently is--it assumes someone else changed it, and gives that message. I don't know of a foolproof way around it.
I am having a similar problem-
*** I have a 'main' form and a 'submain' subform - (one to many relation) after updating the subform , I click a cmdbtn (which opens the next form) - at this time I get the "Write Conflict" error with three button choices - "Save Changes", "Copy to Clipboard" and "Drop Changes". When "Save Changes"is selected - another error is triggered which states that changes can't be saved because the primary key would be duplicated - BUT the changes ARE actually saved - ...when "Copy to Clipboard" or "Drop Changes" are selected - the record is saved without an additional error being triggered.***
Its PROBABLY a simple thing - just can't see the trees for the forest right now#?!!
ANY guruful advice will be most humbly welcomed.

Jim : {
