What do I do to correct WPWIN7 caused an invalid page fault in module SHELL32.DLL at 0167:66801af2.

I was getting a similar message with my WP 7 program. I solved the problem by creating a new folder on my desktop entitled Corel Word Perfect 7. Next I moved by drag and drop my Corel Word Perfect 7 program from the C drive and put it in the new shell on the Desktop. I had to move the program to My Documents first before dragging and dropping it on the Desktop.

I still used the original WP7 short cut on the Desktop butI stopped getting the error message. This has solved the problem for about three weeks now, and I think it is solved, but I never say anything is certain on a computer.

After much effort, I have found the solution to this problem:

1. Start Wordperfect 7.
2. When the error occurs, click & drage the error box out of the way.
3. Click Edit/Preferences/Files.
4. Change the Default Document Folder to say "C:\My Documents"
5. Click OK/Close.
6. Close the error message & restart Wordperfect.

Thank you for this excellent tip. Solved the problem. By the way, you do not have to change the directory to C:\my documents. You do have to have a valid directory name. WP7 assumes the default name will be C:\my files. If you have a directory by that name, it should work too. You can use any valid directory name, e.g. C:\work documents.

I'm using WordPerfect 7 with Windows 98SE. Sometimes WordPerfect won't close. I can I close WordPerfect 7.0
