Short Story:
I need to know how to completly uninstall WPSuite 7.

Long Story:
Trying to print Envelopes in WP7 having a couple of problems. 1st the envelope type comes up as an E and a symbol, not Envelope #10 for example. Does this on all, even custom made ones. 2nd, when trying to print an envelope get this error: WPWIN7.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. Using Windows 2000 Pro.
I tried to uninstall it through Add\Remove programs, then deleted the corel directory and removed all I could find in the registry.
Reinstall and it all came back. Still had the address info in the envelope form. I'm missing a file or two, so any help in a complete uninstall or an easier fix would be great!
Thanks!

reven,

WP 9 has a utility (for use only on WP9) on the install disk called PRFeg.exe. This utility resets all of the registry settings for the Corel apps and might solve this problem for WP9. I do not know if the utility exists with WP7 or not, but is it worth seeing if the file is on your install CD.

No such luck having that on the CD.
There seems to be one config file that I need to get rid of, but I'm not sure where it's at.

There doesn't happen to be a listing anywhere of all the files that WP installs, is there?

Thanks! :)

Raven,
I am not sure about all of the files that WP installs.

This may be one of those post Windows 1998 issues related to versions of of WordPerfect prior to service pack 4 of WP9. That was the first version of WP designed for Windows 2000 and newer and serveral issues were resolved.

The other thing that you might try (assuming that the feature exists in WP7) is to regenerate your page setups. In WP9 Format - Page - Page Setup - Options - Regenerate. This will wipe out any custom page setup codes that you have created for specific printer drawers and reset Page Setup to the original installation setup.

WP6.1 used a .BIF (binary information file--if I remember correctly) file. Often deleting this file fixed a lot of problems. The file rebuilds itself if not found. I'm not sure, but WP7 may also do this.

However, before you try it, keep in mind that deleting this file wipes out all of your custom settings.

Thanks guys!!
We have found out that it only has the problem when connected to a network. Doesn't matter if it's her network or not... as long as TCP\IP seems to be running, we get this issue. If it's not plugged in at all to the network, it runs perfectly.

Printer drivers have been removed. A local printer was added and still the same thing. Happens with any other profiles that are created.

Any ideas on this?
Thanks again!

Raven,

The Wpcset.bif file was part of version 6.1 and did have a tendency to become corrupt. As I recall, effective with version 7 the semi-equivalent file is wp7us.wpt for the united states version. Version 9 is wp9us.wpt.

We have been running tcp\ip on networks with WP back to version 5 and I have never been aware of conflicts between tcp\ip and WordPerfect. ??

My recommendation is to upgrade to the current version of WordPerfect which has been designed for the current versions of Windows.
