Local Area Connection
Connected, Firewalled
Broadcom 440x 10/100 intigrated controller

i need to get the same thing in my network connections and i have no idea how...i have tried alot of diufferent combinations in the "create a new connection" wizard but i cant get that one...I NEED HELP SOON!!!!! thanx a ton guys! my AIM is aerosmithSH33

Are both computers running Windows XP????

I can tell that the connection:

Local Area Connection
Connected, Firewalled
Broadcom 440x 10/100 intigrated controller

is by the word Firewalled. if you have an older operating system then you won't have this option.

You cannot force device manager and plug-and-play to enumerate a chipset you do not have.

See faq779-4625 for an alternative resolution to your problem.
