I have installed crystal reports v10 and wanna connect to businessworks v12 . How do i that.

If Businessworks is installed on the machine, than you should have an ODBC connection to it.

Select ODBC from the Data Explorer and point at the connection.

It is not clear..

What i want to do is from crystal reports i would like to access businessworks tables, views and generate a report.

So how do i conect to businesworks .

In crystal i see ODBC but do need a datasource name to connect. How do i create one because there is no driver to connect to businessworks.

can you tell me what driver is needed ?? name it so that i can install

Check your Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Data Sources (ODBC) -> Systems DSN and click Add the driver

Is Businessworks a Btrieve/Pervasive database? If so you can connect natively to file.ddf or create your own DSN as Witchitakid suggested.

I know how to add the driver i have following drives in my m/c . Please can any one tell me which driver to select to connect to BusinessWorks using crystal reports.

I like to set the path b/b crystal and BusinessWorks(Which Driver gives me).

Business Works has datafiles they .mdf files. (used Sql Server to open them did not work and not the right solution to do that). Following message gives clear idea about BW.

Indicates that your Business Works installtion should have installed its own ODBC Driver...If it did not, reinstall and, if offered a custom installation, choose it and add the driver.
If you cannot find that option, or it still does not install, contact Business Works support.
