Hi!

I am on my way to getting the CCNP-certification, and I am trying to get the big picture when it comes to internet routing. Can anyone recommend a site that describes how the internet works when it comes to routing traffic? What routing protocols that are used, backbone routers, etc?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
HH

Internet Routing Architectures by Sam Halabi is a great book on BGP, but it is a little too much information I think for the CCNP certification.

Personally, I think when learning routing, it is better to start your focus on a smaller scope (like multi-site OSPF/EIGRP) than to try and tackle how the internet is routed. BGP is a pretty big beast to try and learn right from the start.
