Workplace user password requirements

How can I use the same password as the extension for these clients? I've turned down the security settings in system-telephony-telephony and in the security settings. I can also login IP phones and the communicator with these credentials. With workplace, I have to use an 8 character somewhat-complex password. TIA

What’s wrong with a complex password? Makes the system much more secure. Especially if it can be accessed from outside.
