I have a customer on IP Office 11.1.2 or something like that. This is not specifically an IP Office issue, after upgrading to OS Sonoma the mac Workplace app crashes repeatedly.

Anyone else having this? I haven't gotten very far with Avaya or Apple yet. Also, the crash report below is for workplace 3.30 but the latest 3.34 does the same thing.

Good afternoon,

Same problem at our office and at a customer of ours. Both systems work with Intel processors.
Is your system also with intel or already with M processor?

Thanks. This one is an M2 macbook pro

Well I finally found some forums etc that had some info on this.
location of log files:
~/Library/Logs/com.avaya.Avaya-IX-Workplace/logs/crashes: Crash dump files are not managed by the Avaya Workplace Client application and must be managed by you. For support, you might need to send these files to Avaya.

This may be the best solution for now(I haven't tried it yet but people say it is working):
Downgrade to 3.20

Hmmm, I'm only finding 3.21 on support.avaya.com right now. Looks like the website has changed format some. I'll post back if I find one that works. I also have an old copy of 3.17...

I am also not able to use Avaya Workspace 3.4 on Sonoma. I am also using the previous application which is not ideal as sometimes I will answer the phone and no one will be there. I was told to use the app on my phone, which does not work because all calls go to my phone and i don't want that. Does anyone have any recommendations until Avaya comes out with a fix?

So you are using an older version on Sonoma that doesn't crash but has audio issues (silence)? What version is that if so?

I am using 3.21 as I was told to use by my IT department. I had originally been using 3.34 which worked great under 13, but not under Sonoma at all.

Thanks. If you have a windows emulator I've seen that work (using the windows Workplace app)

3.17 is working for us so far. 3.21 had some issue with the call reporting app apparently.

Actually it is now 7:17 pm eastern time, i've been on since 12;00 pm eastern time and knock on wood, I have had no issues with Avaya Workspace (yet! I'm still on for another half hour).

3.34 crashes here on Sonoma with a M2 MacBook Air.

Downgraded to 3.21 which seems ok (I don't use call reporting).

Thanks. I read that notice the other day. It basically says "don't upgrade your mac" lol

I'm glad Avaya has noticed though and hopefully they will release a new version soon (or rework an old version?)

Here is latest from Avaya. New release on the 31st will support:

Workplace 3.35 supports MacOS 14.0. Customer upgrading to MacOS 14.0 should upgrade Workplace release to 3.35.
Workplace 3.35 release for MacOS is planned to be GA on 31st October ’23.

(the new mac release will support TLS 1.3)

So far I've been okay using the earlier version of Avaya Workplace since the update to my Mac with no problem. Now i see that there is a new update for Sonoma (not doing it until this weekend). Just wondered if anyone else has ran that update and if there is a resolution?

Upgraded to 3.35. It seems stable so far on Sonoma.
