Workplace busy on hold

I have a client that wants the receptionists to see the users busy when they put a caller on hold. This works for the desk phones but not for Workplace clients. When they are on the call with Workplace, they see them as busy but as soon as they put them on hold it appears as if they are free to accept other calls. I have busy on hold enabled for the users, but it does nothing for Workplace.

First up, do you have only 2 appearance buttons set up for the user, and "reserve last CA" ticked in telephony/multi line options/?

Also, are the users logged into both the desk phones and Workplace at the same time? If so, they will not get busy when putting a call on hold in Workplace. The system sees the desk phone as available for the call, try it with a user only logged into Workplace, I think you will find it works then.
