Hello..

13,008.47

Does anyone know what the code means in respect of the Workcentre C2424, and where I can get the service manual.

Thank you

Kevin

This is all that the service manual says about this code:
13,008.47: The drum heater is too hot.

that error code does pertain to the drum heater but most often it is because

1)one of the airflow vents is blocked or right near something.

2)the fan on drum assembly has stopped working

3)the drum temperature sensor is failing and needs a new one.

anything after those 3 is resolved by replacing the drum assembly itself and that is a long and tedious job which costs quite a bit of $$$$. So try the first 3 things I said and see if those fix it.

Where is the printer located? It must have clearence on all sides for proper cooling and ventilation. Keep away from heater/ Ac vents, and out of direct sun.
What kind of usage?
Go to service diags, and run the drum fan, heater, and srnsor tests. The fan may be dirty or failing.
