Hi,
How can I make text travel (roll) across a screen, like the ones shown in public places such as hospitals, train stations, etc. I would like words to appear on the right side of the screen, travel (slide) across the screen and roll off the left side of the screen.
All help would be greatly appreciated.

Flash would be the obvious answer. If you aren't a flash person there are some Dreamweaver plugins that allow you to do it via xml. I used one for a client who wanted one but wanted to be able to edit the "news" themselves. It scrolls up not across (easier to read). There are directions if you don't use dreamweaver.

You are on another planet!
Vragabond is correrct in saying that marquee is the way to go. Why would you want to use this dreamweaver extension which may I say costs, when a simple line of html does the trick perfectly?
However, I do agree that marquee is very tedious.
:)

linux is the way forward!

Gareth :)
