I know this sounds weird, and it has definitely been baffling us:
This problem occurs only with some users on the network. We are running WP12 on Windows XP with Windows Server 2003. Certain users will edit their WP documents. After editing a sentence, when they click in another part of the file, the edit will change back to the original text. For instance, if they delete a word, as soon as they click another spot in the file, the word will reappear. The issue does not occur after every edit. Only occassionally. It has happened to more than 1 user, so we do not think it is a user error. And it will not happen if the user saves the file after editing but before clicking another spot in the file.
We've tried to reimage the machine, delete and recreate her profile, give her a new PC, reinstall WP12.
This issue would also occur when we had WP9, were on NT servers, and were using Windows 2000 Pro as the operating system.
Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. If you need more info, I'd be happy to share!
Thank you!!
