WordPerfect 10 hangs for several minutes

Hello,
My company just bought a new computer. Its a Pentium 4, 2.4 ghz, and it has a 1 gig of ram, 32 bit video card, and it has a 60 gig hard drive. When I try to load up WordPerfect 10, it just sits there thinking for around 3 minutes. When I try to close the document I was working on, again it takes several minutes to do this. If I close and open a document several times, after 4 times of opening and closing a document, it starts to load the way it should. I finally got to the point where I have just put WordPerfect 8 back on and it works just fine. Does this sound like a problem anyone else has had?? I have done all the Service Packs updates also and still no go.

We had the same issue. WP8 worked fine after we loaded wp10 system seems to pause or hesiatate when running WP10. I found that we had a bad statement in our Path. For some reason WP10 checks the path before executing a command. I corrected the path statement and the problem was resolved.

How did you correct the path?

Your PC path statement go to your command prompt and type "path"

This will show you all of the path statements . Verfiy the paths to programs are correct.
