WordPerfect 10 address book import

Hi all:

I just upgraded to XP and wp 7 stopped working. ok.. I got and installed wp 10 it runs ok now. I would like to import my old wp 7 address book to the new wp 10 address book I know i'm not totally incometent but can't seem to figure this one out.

any help would be great!

If you can get to the address book at all you're several steps ahead of me. Mine WILL NOT WORK, and yes, I am screaming. Do you happen to know or can you find out what the address book database extension is in Word Perfect? I suspect it is dbx, but if you could do a search, I would appreciate it.

the address is a .db and is in the database dir under wp7 I don't remember just whare but is is by default hanging off of the root c: I can find the database and even open it with word pad it is all garbled up but I can pick out the names and addresses of the people in the database. it just won't import into WP10.

I don't know the full steps, but in order to upgrade the address book from 7 to 10 you need to export in 7 to one of the file formats that 10 is also able to import.
I don't have one at and until 2 weeks from now, so just try and get WP7 working in another machine (with W98/95), do the export and then put it in the 2k for import.

As for the creation of the database itself it can be a real pain. Have a look at news:corel.wpoffice.corelcentral10 as there are a lot of possible solutions there. I managed to do without any of them, but don't remember how.
