WordPad Down

Greetings,
I get:"The procedure entry point SHRegGetValueW could not be located in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll"
When I try to open wordpad.
Anyone have experience with this???

Have you tried to remove wordpad and reinstall it? If not do and see if the problem is fixed. To do so go into start -- control panel -- add/remove programs -- add/remove windows componets.

That's next, but where do I reinstall from?
I don't see it listed on Microsft's site for Download.
I tried a restore to no avail.

C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories is the location of WordPad.exe (on other machines if you want to copy it). There is also a WordPad.inf (right-click to install) in C:\Windows\Inf , you may have to show hidden and system files.

A couple of machines I looked at didn't have WordPad in Add or Remove/ Windows Components/ Accessories and Utilities/ Details/ Accessories/ Details, but if you have it there, usually you just tick the check box and this will install it after you OK your way out.
