Word: Zoom - Many Pages View Grey out

When I go to zoom and try to view many pages, the selection is greyed out. I am viewing a 40 page doc. I have tried this when I open a doc from scratch and receive the same problem.

Any help would be much appreicated.

You must be in Page Layout View for the Multiple Pages option to work. It won't work in Normal View.
