What do I need to do to create multiple Table of Figures within a document? I have Figures, Plates, and Tables. Each have their own styles (same as above). I can make one "Table of figures," but when I try to create another, I am asked if I want to replace the current table of figures, with the choices of "yes" or "cancel." I have tried using the option button and changing my choice of style to reflect the style/figure table I want.

Yesterday this worked. I used the same steps, or so I thought. The file began acting funny, and I assume became corrupted and I lost what I'd done.

One last question: one of my plates is not showing when I do make that table of figures. Its style is correctly defined, like the others. Suggestions why this does not work?

Thanks.

Hi KJ,

Maybe this will work for a TOF as it does for a TOC. I don't know - I have never tried it for a TOF. But it uses bookmarks to define the individual entries for each separate table.

Let me know if it works for you. Good luck!

Skip,

I need more than one table because when I've had all them under the caption style, they came up not nice and alphabetical like the boss likes. So I figured the best way to do it was to make separate tables.

Kathy, nope, that didn't work. I could only wish to have Word 2002. But thanks.

KJ

They will all be located together, at the front of the document.

OK.

The Table of Figures, Contents, Tables etc is designed to represent the sequence thru the document.

How 'bout an Index? Use the caption reference or create a new reference if necessary and put in an Index, wherever you need.
