I must have done something to hide the standard menu bar in Word. Control-V does nothing, right clicking only shows the short cut, paste, etc menu. I've tried right clicking all over the document and edges with no luck. Any other ideas? I looked in the MS office tools folder & it doesn't seem to have anything related to Word. How do I bring it back?

R-click on any tool and choose Customize
Go to the Toolbars tab
check the box next to Menu bar

I don't see any tools.
ps This is Word 2000. Forgot to mention that.

Right click anywhere in the very top part.

To clarify: I have NO bars. Neither tool or menu. When I right click on top, I get the size/move etc list.

try ALT + v then Toolbars > Cuwstomize, etc

Alt-v doesn't show anything.

Have you tried rebooting?

Is there a document showing at this time?

I know you said that when you r-click at the top, you get the copy etc shortcut menu, but are you r-clicking way up at the top, where a toolbar would be if you had one?

Oh! I'll bet you're in Full Screen!

Just press the Esc key

I've r-clicked up as far as the name of the doc.
Rebooted,
Pressed esc.
No change.
