Word Merge or Other Option

Good morning, hoping someone can point me in the correct direction. I need to produce a letter based on the users reply to several yes/no fields on the current form being completed.

For example: If field [APR] = No then I want a certain paragraph to print out on the letter.

The form consist of about 15 yes/no fields, each one that is answered with a NO would have to be capable of printing its repective reply to the NO on the letter.

Am I explaining myself well enough?

Hi,

An easy way is to do this is to create a word document and select the mail merge wizard to guide you through. After linking your access database and creating the letter template, select the insert word field, (if then else) to create your multiple paragraphs using the Apr field(s). If you are using yes/no in access you need to select the field that is equal to "0" for no and "1" for yes.

I guess I don't totally understand. I can/did create the word document and inserted all my various [apr1],[apr2], etc fields and typed out the paragraph that corresponds to each.

However, my main task I wanted to accomplish was to only display those paragraphs that were answered "no" or 0. I don't know how to accomplish that part, where do I put my if "no", then "insert this field and corresponding paragraph"

Word has a build in If:

{IF YesNo=Yes Para1 Para2 \* MERGEFORMAT}

However, it may be easier to use Access and Bookmarks. You will find at least one FAQ and a number of posts on using Access and Bookmarks to complete a Word document.
