I want to create a word 2003 document using mail merge, but is it possible to make the page size A3?

Yes. I'm not sure what you don't know here. Just go to Page Setup and change it.

Yes...It's possible. Select Page Size as A3 in Page Setup for your master document. After merging all the required fields, the merged document will be of A3 size.

I want to create labels. Well, the problem is that even if i change page setup options, in the 2nd step of mail merge wizard, in label options, there is no A3 size specified. When I choose some label style and return to the document, the page setup settings automatically changes to A4, for example.

Is there a solution for this??

You can create a custom sized labels of size A3 using Label Options - New Label as per your choice. But the page setup options for master document depends on the printer you are using. This is the case when you are using Letters for mail merge and you are having a printer with A3 settings.
In case of Labels, the page settings for A3 is not available, so it converts the page size to A4. So the workaround can be after finishing all the job, set the page size of final document to A3.
