We use the following macro in Word for our date in the document {DATE \@ "d MMMM yyyy" \* MERGEFORMAT }

this works but when you save the document on december 1 and open it 3 days later it show december 4.

How do i make the document always show save date or something that is static.

Thank you

Hello Patrick,

If you want to see the date on which the document was created, go to: Insert > Field. Select the date/time category in the left-hand panel and the CreateDate option in the panel on the right.

Hi patrick118,

Depending on what you want to achieve, you can simply change the:
{DATE \@ "d MMMM yyyy" \* MERGEFORMAT }
to:
{CREATEDATE \@ "d MMMM yyyy" \* MERGEFORMAT }
to show the date the document was created
{SAVEDATE \@ "d MMMM yyyy" \* MERGEFORMAT }
to show the last-saved date
{PRINTDATE \@ "d MMMM yyyy" \* MERGEFORMAT }
to show the last-printed date.

Cheers
PS: This is not a macro, but a field.
