Word Data Merge - stops after first page - need more pages

I am doing a merge of data into labels and have it all set up perfectly except that once merged, I get only one page of labels, and I need it to create as many pages of labels as necessary. What is the step I'm missing here? I'm using Word in Office XP.

Are you completing the merge with either merge to printer or merge to file?

oh - no. I've seen that option but didn't really know what they were for or what to do with them...
