Word Crashes on Cut and Paste

Hi,

I have a problem with Word 2000 running on W2K machines. The problem typically occurs when a user cuts and pastes in a table. The machine freezes before displaying a 'Winword' error and exiting.
I thought that it might be the service pack. I have SP3 on one machine but it still happens with SR1 on another

Any ideas?

Just been into the document again. This time Word has crashed as I was scrolling through it.

I have been told that the tables were designed in Office 97 and that the problem only started to occur when we upgraded. Does Word 2000 have a problem with tables designed in Office 97?

I have a customer with the same problem. I believe most of their documents were previously created in Word 97. This particular user has Windows XP with Office 2000 SP3. Have you found any fixes for your problem? TIA
