Hi Group,

I am facing word break problem while using cognos reportnet.

There are four columns in my report.
The last column is number field and hence it is aligned right.
I have set "size and overflow" for each column.
Also set "spacing and breaking" as yes for all of them.

The problem is, if the number value in last column is too long and if it exceeds the size allocated to that column then Cognos displays it strangely.
Value is displayed within the column ,but minus sign on the first line and remaining value on the next line.

Please refer sample below.

Col1 col2 col3 col4
------------------------------------
data1 data2 data3 -
12333.4

I think, this is due to the special character (minus sign) in the begining of the data.

I have tried many options.
Can anyone help me what to do in this case.

Its very urgent.

Regards,
James

If you want it all on one line, try setting the column's "white space" property to "no wrap".

This will try to fit it all on one line (although you will need to test what will happen if the value is still too big for the column)

Hey ..
Thanks for replying...

I am infact aware of white space--no wrap.
But as u pointed out,n case of "no wrap", everything will be screwed up if the data length is bigger than column width.
