Word and Excell hangs when open or save a document

hi guys,

i have a user here that's having problems with excell and word. he's running office97 with Win2k prof. once he logs in, opens word and tries to open an existing document or tries to save a new document, word hangs and after a while gives a debugger error message. same thing happens with excell.
now i tried logging in as administrator on his machine and everything works fine for me...
im guessing it has something to do with his profile but am not sure what.
any ideas?

I suggest you nuke their profile and start fresh. The best thing is to rename their profile, shut down and startup again.

The, if you need to copy things like favorites etc, you still the renamed profile to copy from.
