hi all.
ive just read thru the chapter covering word justification in the visual quickstart book. the thing is, i cant seem to get it to work properly, i have three columns on a page, alost filled with text, there is enough space for any justification but it doesnt seem to come out right. the paragraphs are aligned nicely to the left of the columns, but not to the right - where there appears gaps. ive tried to adjust all the settings in the justification popup but to no avail.
the project is only a small one and i wondered if any of you guys could take a look at it and tell me what im doing wrong before i throw the computer - and then myself out of the goddam window. ive been working on this for a good day now and have made absolutely no progress whatsoever.

thanx

steve

Have you selected all of the text before attempting to apply justification?

What happens when you use another font?

Why is everyone in this forum responding to me as picklefish?

Select the copy, go to the Paragraph palette (command M) and select the justification you want to use - flush left, centered, flush right, justified with last line flush left, justified with last line centered, justified with last line flush right, justified with last line flush force justified.

my god i hope its not that easy

:)

steve...

i`ll let you know in a minute.....

well... you were right. i clicked the centralised tab in the paragraphs box. ahem.

cough... and it sorta worked.
im embarrised. i use that in microsöft word all the time.
so basic.

i think i have to go to the pub and drink beer now.
you know, to get over my embarrisment.
i`ll have one for you guys

cheers

steve

Glad it worked - sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees - especially when you are working in an unfamiliar program. I'd prefer a tall dark rum & coke if that's ok with you.

double captain morgan & coke it is sir!

cheers
