After changes are made to a document eg inserting headers and footers of graphic images the document will not print at all. No error message is recieved. With some documents everything may be ok until a certain page on others it is the whole document that is affected. These latter docs may be able to be printed on some machines but only if you print the whole document. All pcs are running Win Nt 4.0 sp3 over Novell 4.11 with Office 97 SR1. Any Idead as to what might cause this strange behaviour would be most welcome.

mmm...hard to say. Some possibilities are that it's not printing simply because you placed the text of the headers or footers outside the printable area of the page. You can check the documentation of your printer manual to see how close to the very edge of the paper your particular printer can print to. <br>

On the file menu, click Page Setup, then click the Margins tab. Under from edge, enter a value that's larger than your printer's minimum margin setting. If Word displays a message stating that a margin is outside the printable area of the page, then click on fix.

We've had that problem too. We decreased the gutter in the margins tab under page setup and it printed fine.
