When using the Style Drop down in the toolbar, is there a way for it to show only styles that are being used in a document. For example, It lists all the heading styles down to 9, which makes scrolling through a bit of a pain.

Thanks

Publishing. It'll do that, especially if you've created an outline numbering style. Just hit the dropdown and type the first letter of the style. It'll take you down to that area.

Or, you can try ctrl+a and copy the entire document into a new file.

Or, you can try using Format-Styles, Organizer to see if you can delete any styles you're not using. Anne Troy

Thanks Anne.

It's a real pain when it does that, for no apparent reason. You try and keep it simple, and it tries its hardest to make things complicated!!

I've just discovered that when you PDF the document, word goes and chucks in all it's default styles for some reason!!
