For some reason when I open Word and paste lines from notepad or some other. Every line is double spaced.
If I hit delete and force the line below to come up to the end of the current line then press Shift Enter it makes just a single line spacing, but this is very cumbersome. Has something happened to the normal.dot?
I was also wondering if this is somehow tied to Outlook since I use Word as my editor there and I have HTML on there. I know in HTML when typing you get double and that how I leaned about Shift Enter.
how do I fix this?

TIA

hi,

Turn on Show/Hide (ctr+*) and you'll see what's happening. Probably double paragraph characters.

You can REPLACE ^p^p with ^p

On the start ribbon, right click on your Standard style, =>"change"
Make sure to set the radio button to "New documents based on this template".
=>Format=>Paragraph
Set line spacing to single.
