Word 2002 Footer

I have one user that when she tries to put a footer in "page _ of _" using the auto numbering, It shows up on the paper like this. "page {page} of {numpages}. If i take the document and open it on my computer, it works fine. Does anyone know why or can tell me how to fix it

On her computer go to tools/options/view tab, under the show section, unselect the "field codes" option.

It is not checked. I checked and then unchecked and it did not fix the problem

I see what you are talking about. I checked the field codes box on my computer. But my problem is different if you look at the footer in normal view it is fine (Page 1 of 2). It only wrong when you print or if you look at print preview(page {page} of {numpages}).

okay, same thing then. go to tools/options/print tab and deselect print field codes.
