In our office we run Office 2000, with Outlook as the primary email application. One of the users wants to use Word to send an email, but the wrong settings for the outgoing account are displaying. The name on the default settings does not match the login name on the computer, and the IP address doesn't even match the office's IP range. Any ideas how to fix this problem?

We are running Office 2000 with all current updates installed.

Thanks a lot!

Is this a standalone Outlook or part of an Exchange server? If this is standalone connecting to the Internet independently, then suspect the worse and scan for some nasty malware with SpyBot, AdAware and HiJackThis.

The system connects to Exchange, and all the other systems in the office are all functioning properly... We just got 5 new systems, and all accounts migrated properly, including the problem system, onto the new computers. The only problem has shown up on this one system... any ideas?
