Word 2000 Doesn't Start at all 1

I have installed Office 2000 pro on my Windows ME computer for almost one year. Everything worked fine till yesterday. Suddenly I could not start Microsoft Word while all other programs including other office products are still okay. I have done the following without success:
1) Remove Office 2000 completely and reinstall it.
2) Reinstall Wins ME with CD from DELL. It is more like a repair process as all previous configuration settings remained after reinstallation.
3) Cleaned up temp and recycle bin
4) Virus scan with Norton 2000.

Please help me! Any suggestion is welcome.

Have you tried renaming the NORMAL.DOT FILE? I have had similar experiences and this resolved the issue. This file will be recreated once you start the app again, its worth a shot as it only takes a minute. Let me know if it helps.
