We installed Office Suite 2000 Standard. Now one user cannot get Word to stop converting her bullets to numbers whenever she saves her documents. When she next opens her document theyk are numbers. We have checked the formating options and everything looks correct. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
paul_kreamer@bigchalk.com

Are you, by any chance, viewing the documents in Word 97 or saving them as Word 97 documents? I was designing presentations in PowerPoint 2000, but they were being showed in PowerPoint 97. I had used some of the web bullets that came with 2000, and in one presentation, 97 converted them to question marks!

Linda Adams
Garridon@aol.com
<a href= Adams Online
I'm a professional writer, published internationally.

You are right! The file was being saved as a Word6.0/97 instead of 2000. We saved it as a 2000 and it saved the new formating. Thank you for your help.
I have a customer with this problem. Fooled me. Your a treasure! [sig][/sig]

I thought this was too easy. She was saving the files as Word Doc, so there must be another prob somewhere. [sig][/sig]

Peter, have your user go to View-Toolbars-Customize, hit the options tab. Does it say to only use features available in '97?

Otherwise, have you tried renaming her normal.dot (while Word is closed) and restarting Word and try again?

If network install, have you tried to run:

winword.exe /regserver ?

I've got more. Let me know. [sig]

techsupportgirl@home.com
<a href=
[/sig]
