My PC won't print pages from the internet using Internet Explorer 6.1.

I get an error message :

An Error has occured with the script on this page:

Line: 93
Char: 1
Error: Access Denied
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\Windows\System32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg

Can any one advise?

Many thanks

If you are the owner of a packard bell computer, please go C:\\programfiles\surfairy and then select uninstall

Thats fine if you have a packard bell PC. I have a non-packard PC, Samsung 4 in 1 printer, same error. No sign of the "Surf Fairy" on the PC. Does anyone else please have any other suggestions ?

Checked it out. I do not get the message :
===========
An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line: 1210
Char: 1
Error: Unspecified error.
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/preview.dlg

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
===========
But receive the access denied message. This printed fine a few days ago, no new software installed and no changes done to the system.

I tried removing the header and footer on the document, still to no avail.

Version of IE is 6.0.2600.0000 But the article states that this is for IE6 on Win98, Win98SE and Windows ME. I am running XP.

The C:/windows directory is marked read only, as is the system directory within. I tried to remove the read only and windows XP just put it back on to both the windows and the system directory.

Any other possible solutions you can think of ?
Thanks, GJC

We've also got an XP Pro with IE 6 -sp1 that is getting the following:

"An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 1210
Char: 1
Error: Unspecified error.
Code: 0
URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/preview.dlg
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? "

She can print from every other program. I'll let you know if we resolve it. So far, no joy.

Here's what I am getting and unsuccesfull solutions.

An Error has occurred in the script on this page.
line: 1343
char: 1
error: unspecified error
code: 0
URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg

I'm not using a PostScript printer driver.

Tried:
Running Spyware removal S&D and others.
Running AV SW both installed and online.
Removing and reinstalling Default Print driver. Other print drivers remain such as

Winfax and Win2PDF.
Running - regsvr32 IEPEERS.DLL
Turning off Script debugging. I now get:

A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you wish to Debug?

Line: 1343
Error: Unspecified Error

Any other ideas?

I finally did a reinstall (upgrade) of my XP OS. Which seems to have fixed several items including this one.

I did not lose any programs or documents!
