Wondering about a simple CMS for Intranet..

We are trying to setup our first intranet site here and I'm really just trying to setup something simple that we can post news on and some forms...

I'd like to be able to give the HR people a login so they can update their own area by themselves (newhires,jobs listing)...

I figure a CMS would be the "user friendly" way to do this (short of handing out FrontPage to users).. these people have no idea about websites wysiwyg or not...

SO.. I'm wondering if you guys know of a simple CMS or setup that you might suggest to me to look into...

I'd like this to be all web-based if possible...

Cheap is good .. free is better..

I ended up going with the Mambo CMS.. it ended up to be a great choice..
