Hi,

I have got Win XP Pro SP2 with Compaq nx6120 laptop. The integrated WLAN (802.11g) was working perfectly fine untill yesterday.
Today suddenly it is not able to get IP address from my DHCP server. Other similar laptops in my network are having no problems, So my DHCP server and Wireless Acess point are working fine. But this laptop is not able to acquire IP.

I have done the following to solve the problem but issue is still there:

1) Disabled windows firewall and tried.
2) Applied KB884020.
3) Ran WinSockFix to correct TCP/IP protocol.
4) Uninstalled and re-installed drivers also.

Please help.

Thanks
Yunus

Have you tried IP Release/Renew from the laptop. I assume so, but sometimes the best steps are the easiest ones.

yes i did it. Ethernet is able to connect only problem with WLAN.

Hi,

There was some problem with the drivers. After contacting HP they gave link to the new driver files which were added last week.

After updating the drivers for the WLAN Nic, it is working fine.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers
Yunus
