Help please,
I had a perfectly functional Windows XP setup on an HP laptop (NC 6000) with a built in WLAN. Then I foolishly installed a Vodaphone 3G card, and now I can't get the wireless to function.
Specifically the wireless reports connection, and I can even communicate directly with my home hub/ADSL modem as administrator (it's a d-link G604T). But any attempt to access the wider internet results in packets being sent, but nothing being returned.
I've varied the configuration every way I can think of, updated the wireless drivers, removed hotfixes, removed the vodafone software and even taken Windows XP up to SP2 - but the symptoms remain the same - Reported wlan connection, but no return packets. I KNOW it's the Vodafone software that has done something, but I can find no cure, and no way to undo the damage.
Any help gratefully received.
