WLAN APP GATEWAY 2246

Hi Guys

does anyone know if my Meridian 11c upgraded to CS1000 release 7.5 with already running wireless infrustructer on Avaya 6140 sets is ready for WLAN app gateway 2246 that I just bought. I need to activate the text messaging function. and, what other function I could get from this ?

You should be able to install the 2246 on that system. The 2246 and 6120/6140 supports the Spectralink Open Application Interface. You can find more information on that interface at

Yes, as long as you put in the latest GA 82.022 on the OAI and the latest Handset software as well you should have supported solution. It's working as a charm for me. What you should look more into is the 2245 SVP controllers if you use that. Those have to be on the latest software and you also need to setup the throttling level correctly, otherwise you would run into a problem where the master SVP is not capable of loadbalancing handsets. This due to a significant increase in the number of handsets the CS rls 7.5 system allows to register pr.second.
