We are using Windows 2003 as a file server. We turned on Disk Quota to limit users on space usage, especially in their home folder. We also have a few "shared" folders where users can save files that other users need to access. For these shared folders, I changed the ownership on all the files to an Administrator account because we don't want this to count against the user. But what I have noticed is that when a user modifies a file that is in these shared folders, the ownership is changed from the Administrator to the user who modified the document. Is there a why to set these files within these shared folders to NOT change the ownership of any files?
