As we haven't had one of these in ages and R5 and R6 have come in quick succession and as Avaya have the new GRIP thing for reature requests, I thought we should once again gather our most wanted/still outstanding features.

1) STOP using the same old rubbish TIME protocol and/or time set via Manager
2) Huntgroup fallback to things other than groups, so no more phantom user forwarding lark.
3) Auto callback without losing appearence keys and VM etc

there's more but just to get the ball rolling :)

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
 
1. make the software run on a server ala CM
2. fix the problems with the power failures
3. add as many feature as you can think of but not that many which makes it a buggy system ala version 3.0, i still have nightmares of that version.
4. GET RID OF THESE F*ING APPEARANCE KEYS
5. call pickup ala INDeX
6. collective group call were if one phone answers the others keep ringing and any other phone answering the call joines in a conference call, very needed in the healthcare and for emegency calls.
7. a good working multimedia call center application
8. a piece of software to store SMDR to a file ala DeltaServer which will not work on 6.0
 
TAPI integration to dial from anywhere in the PC by right clicking the phone number (just like cell phones do it)and maybe having it also integrate with Mac's just to be complicated

SSA needs to allow more than 2 users. Since CCR uses connection, then only one user can see SSA if you want your reporting data. It is becoming a pain.
 
There is no need for more then one SSA connection (next to CCR)

id have to agree with tlpeter on that. why would you need so many ssa connections?

Gigabit capable ethernet ports on phones (pass through) and system

Ability to vlan tag packets from system

Matt, if they need gigabit then they better do not put a phone in between!
But the 9600G do have gigabit ports.

More support for ONEX mobile. i just got a new phone and had to ditch it, which makes me sad, but i do have a shiny new phone, so not all bad :)

For SSA, if someone in their IT dept. has SSA open (which seems to be be often), then I cannot start a new SSA session to troubleshoot when requested. Instead, I have to figure out who has it open before I start anything.
 
to be fair, its the kind of app that you dont leave open. you open, use it, then close it. i dont see why it needs to be running all the time. if they insist on leaving it open, then boot their session.

Some 9600 phones have gigabit ports.
VLAN tagging on IP Office would be nice though.
SSA use a lot of system resources and if you could connect a lot of them then the phones stop working or getting really slow, is that what you want?

It is made for debugging and not for information for some IT guy!

If they need to know the status then use SNMP to monitor the system and phones!

Make it so that if CCR is restarted, it actually drop that SSA connection, and doesn't lock it out, forcing a system reboot to clear the open SSA connection.

Get rid of the Apearance keys.

There is no need to reboot the ipo to force it to clear
If you log in with an Administrator acount you get an option to reset count or override it.

From what I can gather the IPO thinks both connections are to a CCR machine, and doesn't let you override.
 
If i login to SSA it tells me i can override or reset count for connections.
But offcourse i am the master and i am allowed for everything :)

Perhaps you do not have all rights.
