As we haven't had one of these in ages and R5 and R6 have come in quick succession and as Avaya have the new GRIP thing for reature requests, I thought we should once again gather our most wanted/still outstanding features.

1) STOP using the same old rubbish TIME protocol and/or time set via Manager
2) Huntgroup fallback to things other than groups, so no more phantom user forwarding lark.
3) Auto callback without losing appearence keys and VM etc

there's more but just to get the ball rolling :)

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
 
1)One-x Portal with Queue statistics like PMPro has.
2)Time profile on/off by shortcode.
3)Change huntgroup greeting with visual voice.
4)An option to overflow immediately to an overflow group when no agents are logged in when queuing is on.

yes tlpeter, 4 is a good one a bit of a no brainer I don't know why avaya have not done it :)

Matt, is that something new in R6 as all the installs I have done I have to go and tick the box for each user
 
· Reserve Last CA: Default = Off, Software level = 4.0+.
Used for users with multiple call appearance buttons. When selected this option stops the user's last call appearance button from being used to receive incoming calls. This ensures that the user always has a call appearance button available to make an outgoing call and to initiate actions such as transfers and conferences. For pre-4.0 IP Office this option is set by adding the RESERVE_LAST_CA= option on the User | Source Numbers tab.

It is off by default, that's an extract from R6 manager :)

An audible indication when you're calling an in-use station from another station - like a brief burst of busy signal or something - while retaining the positive features of multiple call appearance keys.

You know, the wish list has gotten much shorter...

4) Make the audit trail in SSA printable (easy one)

5) Make the passwords in Manager plain text, if you have admin access in Manager you are meant to be there and you can do a lot more damage than just knowing the passowrds plus you can change them to what you want anyway.

6) VM breakout on groups not just user or system wide (I know there is a workaround,but that would work in the user and they still give the option)

7)More changes mergeable, shortcodes on lines...why a reboot? And make extn number changes actually mergeable not needing to logoff and logon

8) Please tell us the full list of usefull no user source number tweeks, there are far more than listed

- 16xx/96xx as VPN phone.
- Easier setup for "call pickup members"
- After pressing the "call pickup members" button seeing
who is calling who (Like SIEMENS HiPath).
- More Import/Export options on Users/Huntgroups: queing on/off,VM on/off...ect).
- More than 100 user for 1XP
- Extra service next to the OutOfService/Night Service, and call it Lunch Service(or something else).
- Internet Explorer plugin for "click to dial" using PMPro
- Hotdesk users that stay loggedin after reboot.
- SIP Tranfer for NOKIA's (more sip options)
- Able to put ShortCodes in HuntGroups/OverflowLists.
- Change the word "Help" in the manager to "RTFM" :p

Yeah, I think you already can do 96xx as VPN, I have read the how to on the PI site, How about a new version of Phone Manager/Softconsole the fact it's stopped at 4.2 gives me the horrible feeling they are about to drop it in favour of 1XP....big mistake :)

No, I was asking for the default to be on in version 7. I get fed up of having to tweak it individually.

Indeed, i rather see "last CA" enabled by default then voicemail turned on, for every user, when there is a voicemail system !

That would make more sense Matt (I misread your post, thought you meant it was on by default already)
 
I'd like an Eliza button... Would come in really handy for when those free magazines come due and I forget to fill out the questionnaire or for Telemarketers.. Just tell them to hold on and I'll transfer to my secretary for them and click on that button.. see who goes crazy first LOL..
 
I'd like some greater redundancy built into the control units. That would of course be a programming nightmare, but I'd like a true redundant control unit set-up where modules would auto-failover to a second IPO if the first fails.

I'd like to see a redundant power supply set-up for IPO modules, I'd even be happy if this was as simple as a power supply module that had N+1 power supply units internally and then used the current unit's power cords to power new and existing modules alike.

And the eternal favourite: Expand the number of things you can merge without reboot.

I'd like to see some intelligence in hunt group overflow, if the overflow destination has a longer expected wait time than the current group the call is in, I'd want it to leave the call alone. Basically only overflow if there is a benefit to overflowing.
 
VMPRO: 15-second beep interval option versus the scary "WARNING YOUR CALL IS BEING RECORDED" when a call is auto-recorded.

We tried that at our place (stock broker)... people would actually hang up when the heard it. Our solution was beep-injectors on the handset... GHETTO
 
to change the "warning this call is being recorded"

make a wav file with the beep tone you want.

rename it to rec_01.wav

make sure the wave encoding is the same as hold music

PCM, 8kHz 16-bit, mono

insert it in Program Files\Avaya\Voicemail Pro\wavs\enu

done. now you have beeps on the play advice on call recording.
