Wirless Messaging - Getting Email to work

Hi,

New to CA Unicenter and currently working in a development environment. I am trying to setup email from within CA Event Management. I am using the capagecl command but email is not working.

I have MS Outlook running on this server and I can send/recieve email from Outlook. I cannot get the 'capagecl' command to send a simple email though.

Any suggestions/tips on setting up email within CA ???

Any help and/or assistance would be Greatly Appreciated !!!

Hi, I use blat tor E-mail from Event Management. Works great(If you have an SMTP enabled mailserver). Blat is an commandline mail client. You can find it at

For me I had to put in the correct settings EM Settings under wireless messaging. Once we added in an account and infor for our mail server, we started sending. Note thought for pages lets say to your cellphone, you will need to possibly have a valid email address so that it can be verified. We were just using "nsm" for the email account, but once nextel starting checking all pages for valid emails address, all our pages stopped working until we put in and actually created an email address. Hope this helps.
