Does anybody know of a Wireless Access point that can act as a VPN end point.
I know a lot of regular VPN/Firewalls, but I need it wireless. I heard that DLink is going to announce a wireless version that supports VPN end-point (so not only passthrough), but it is not released yet

Here's the Linksys version of what you're referring to.
I would shy away from D-Link products as I just replaced a D-Link access point that would not let even D-Link cards connect to, for a Linksys that worked from the get-go.

Thats the new Linksys wireless-G Router with endpoint VPN.

Thanks. I must say that I have the opposite experience. We have DLink stuff in the office and I use it at home and it works perfect. The VPN software works very good in contrast to the 3 Linksys devices we had to return because they would drop VPN connections.
I will try to find some reviews of the Linksys router you pointed out to me. From the description it looks like the thing I need.

Hi rore01:
Seems like you had no problem with VPN and d-link.

I have a DI-614+ Router from D-link, but i cant have the vpn connection go trhough it. We use software on the client side to connect to the vpn, and if we use an external ip adress provided by our isp it works fine, but when we try to go trough the mentioned router the conection times out.

Do you think there is any special configuration for it? I checked on the advanced page of it to enable IPSEC and PPPT, but still no progress.

thanks in advance for any help

Mespe

I too have been getting kicked out of my vpn sessions lately on my wireless linksys, the funny thing being that it happened when I was upstairs (with at least a fair signal), but never when sitting right next to the AP. Hmm...
