I would appreciate some comments / examples on how I could create a batch file or script that when executed would completely configure a Cisco 350 NIC and connect to my Wireless environment. I have a large number of visitors coming into the plant that have wireless capabilities, but constantly have to configure their setup, to the point I have my 128 bit WEP key memorized. What I would like to do is slip in the Cisco 350, and after XP and W2k loaded the drivers, to autoconfigure my information. Im not sure where to begin, in fact, this may not even be the right forum. Any and all comments would be appreciated.

As this would represent a huge security problem, wireless configs can NOT be automated with script.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

I do appreciate your comments. However, since the individuals that would use the wireless network would already be logged into the Domain WAN via their username / password, this would not pose a security risk at all. My whole facility is Wireless running SAP WM. I'm simply trying to automate the convenience of being wireless, which is its sole purpose.

Sorry if I did not articulate that well. That wsn't ME saying it shouldn't be done because fo security, Microsoft has said it CAN'T be done because of security.

The properties for wireles NICs can not be written to via script.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
