This just started happening .....
Fay School (my work)has been wireless for over 3 yrs... and just the other day a neighbor home installed a Linksys router (no encryption nada) It's interferring w/ our wireless network. Ex. Kids are picking up the SSID (default: Linksys) and not Fay's SSID (on one portion of campus.....)
How the heck do you filter something like this, which is practically out of your own hands? Has anyone else encountered something like this, and what did you do to prevent it???
I was litterally thinking of asking that neighbor to turn on their MAC adddress filter to DENY all but their wireless card in the home.... I know that is a solution but wouldn't you think it's kinda rude to knock on someone's door to ask for that?
Please respond....
