i have a partner ACS 7.0, 6 18D version 2 phones, 4 18D older sets. what wireless headsets will work with these phones without using a lifter? CS-50? AWH-55? if so, how?

AWH55 will work wwith the HL10 or HL1 (not sure) lifter. Avaya does make a 10u100, but that is pretty expensive. I beleive the best bet is a CS50 (or 55, again, bad memory). thats an analog headset that can act as a standalone headset or link it with a phone.

i dont think you will be able to find a wireless headset without a lifter. if there was one it would have to be bluetooth and partner phones sure arent that. the lifter is needed for the phone to go off hook if you are away from the desk.

use the ct12 , get a "phone splitter and plug your mls phone and the ct12 in the same jack , now the ct12 is analog extension of the mls

no need for a lifter

I see you have some 18d phones , you don't need the splitter for theses just plug into the AUX jack use the splitters for the older mls phones

I just picked up a used CT12, is there anything else I will need to do other than plug it into the AUX jack on the bottom of my Parner 18d phone? How do I pick up a call if I am away from the desk? I am used to using a corded headset with an amplifier where I hit the on/off button on the amp, then select the line I want use, wether to make a call or pick up a call. I have looked at both Avaya and Plantronics websites for information and haven't found anything.

Reprogram your phone to select Intercom before the lines.

When your phone rings, just press ON. It will connect to the ringing line.

If you want to call another extension, press ON to get Intercom dial tone, then dial the other extension, or 777 for voice mail, etc.

For outgoing calls, press 9 to get outside dial tone, then the telephone number.

To transfer, press Flash, then the extension number you want to send the call to. Either hang up to complete the transfer, or wait for the other party to answer, announce the call, then hang up to complete the transfer.

To hold a call, flash and dial your own extension number. To pick it back up, dial 6 and your own extension number.

If you hear an announcement that a call is holding for you, and which line it is on, press 6, 8, and the line number (01 for line 1, 02 for line 2, etc.)

TouchToneTommy - sounds pretty straight forward. Can you tell me how to reprogram my phone to select intercomm first? Once the phone has ben programmed this way, what will be different when I am not using the CT12?

Thanks for your help!!

At Ext 10 or 11, Feature 00, Left Intercom twice, Right Intercom once, dial your extension number, dial **, press the Left Intercom once, press EACH line in the order you want to select them (line 1, line 2, etc), dial ** again, Feature 00

When you lift the handset or press Speaker at your phone, it will select Intercom, and you'll need to press 9 OR press a line button. If you press a line button before lifting the handset, the speaker will automatically come on. You will still automatically connect to whatever is ringing when you lift the handset.

TouchToneTommy - excellent info - Thanks very much.

Our company has two offices working on different phone systems. From my desk I hit line 4 to call the other location, then I enter the extension for that location. Is there a way to do this with the CT12?

Instead of dialing 9 for ANY available outside line, dial 804 for line 4 specifically. And since that line is "different" from the other lines, DON'T include it when you program the Auto Line Select, just make it Intercom, Line 1, Line 2, Line 3.
